Team Events

Where Do Team Events Take Place?

Where Do Team Events Take Place?

Team events can take place online or in person – either on site, or at a venue of your choosing.

In person events do offer a little more opportunity for the facilitator to read the room, adjust the energy, & address any interpersonal tensions whilst building on emerging themes. They are also better for full day events.

On-line works well for short morale boosting events or ice breakers where time may be restricted – or when distance would be an object.

Do In Person Events Involve Any Particular Equipment?

Do In Person Events Involve Any Particular Equipment?

No – the difference between these events & other more conventional team activities lies in our use of story-telling & metaphor rather than any physical activity.

All that is required is a room that is big enough to accommodate the numbers of people you would like to attend & the means to present the accompanying slides. Access to a break-out room may be useful for bigger groups.

Do Participants Need To Prepare In Any Way?

Do Participants Need To Prepare In Any Way?

Depending on the event you have chosen, I may send a few very brief notes for participants to read through in advance. The purpose of these notes is generally just to provide some context &, if it is an event from the history collection to introduce participants to some key characters so they feel more familiar on the day. They will literally take no more than three or four minutes to read.

What Is The Minimum & Maximum Number Of Participants?

What Is The Minimum & Maximum Number Of Participants?

There is no real minimum or maximum.

Events can work just as well for partnerships of just two or three people as for larger groups. The difference is that, with fewer people we will have more time to think more deeply about specific issues the team would like to explore.

As a guide, the optimum number for getting the most out of these types of events somewhere between 8 – 20.

Groups of more than 20 may require more than one facilitator. This could be someone from your own team – in which case we will need to build in a little preparation time, or I have other trusted coach colleagues that I can invite to join us.

Is There Scope To Include Extra Time For Team Discussion About Specific Challenges?

Is There Scope To Include Extra Time For Team Discussion About Specific Challenges?

Yes – all titles are full formed & ready to go as two-hour, self-contained events. But, all events are designed in such a way that extra questions can be integrated into the content to focus participants attention on specific challenges. This is why there is the option to choose 2 hour, half day or full day programmes.

The starting point is to identify the title that best suits your objectives & we can then work out together how & where to integrate these extra questions for best effect.

How Many People Attend Community Events?

How Many People Attend Community Events?

Community events are designed for small groups – how many people attend depends on the theme of each event & people’s availability. Because the events are intended to be very interactive, numbers are capped to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate. The cap for Network & Grow events is 12. The cap for Let’s Talk About . . . & The Quote Club is 8. If demand exceeds these numbers, extra events will be scheduled.

Do You Offer Free Consultations?

Do You Offer Free Consultations?

Yes – it is standard practice to offer a free, no obligation consultation before agreeing to work with new clients. This is an important part of the process giving you a chance to explain a little about what has prompted you to reach out at this time - & for me to tell you a little about the way that I work so that we can decide together if we are a good match.

Consultations are approximately 30 – 40 minutes & you should ensure that you are somewhere that you won’t be interrupted or overheard.
