5 reasons business owners choose coaching

Posted on 19th October 2021

Like many small business owners, I place a high value on the importance of networking to build trusting relationships of mutual benefit. And I can genuinely say that I get as much pleasure passing on referrals to members of my networks as I do from receiving them.

Over the years, I have learned one thing in particular - when it comes to coaching, many small business owners don't have a clear idea about how it works, or how it might help them achieve their goals.

So, today I thought I would share 5 of the most common reasons that business owners who want to succeed make the decision to work with a coach.

  1. You have a vision and a plan. You are ambitious, energetic and committed. You recognise the benefit of coaching to keep you focused, keep you on track, keep you accountable and get stuff done.
  2. You don't have a vision or a plan. You are not making progress, are frustrated and disillusioned. You recognise the value of coaching to find your focus, keep you on track, keep you accountable and get stuff done.
  3. You have reached a major decision point in the business but have no one objective you can talk to. You recognise the value of coaching as a safe space to talk things through and weigh up the pros and cons of the actions you are contemplating.
  4. The business is well established but you are spending disproportionate amounts of time fire fighting, trouble shooting and managing under performing or difficult staff. You recognise the value of coaching to develop your leadership and management skills.
  5. For whatever reason, the business of running your own business has become overwhelming, you are no longer enjoying what you do and recognise the value of coaching to help you manage your time, and/or manage yourself so that you can regain a sense of balance and reward.

Of course, this list is not exhaustive - there are other reasons why people decide to invest in coaching. But, if any, or all, of these sound like you, drop me a message or ring me on 0333 444 9845 and I would be delighted to arrange a free, no obligation consultation to discuss how I might help you, and your business, get from where you are now to where you want to be.
