World giraffe day

Posted on 21st June 2024

Apparently, today is World Giraffe Day - celebrating the tallest mammal on the planet. Did you know, giraffes are rarer than elephants? They are also amongst the species requiring the least sleep, making do on just 30 minutes a day. They eat for up to 18 hours a day and will leave calves in a creche with designated babysitter whilst they roam.

If this has whet your appetite & you would like to discover more about giraffes, and what we they can teach us about 'sticking our necks out' in leadership and business, you might like 'The Call of the Wild' - you can find it in the Natural World Collection under Team Events.
